The Photographer himself.

Aloha,

My name is Kainalu Kamai, 27, and I'm from Wahiawa, Hawaii. I grew up on the island of Oahu and enjoyed everything Hawaii had to offer me. I love the ocean, just much as I love art. My experience in art started in elementary although it was a natural talent passed down from family. I took art class all three years in middle school, all four years in high school and one semester in college. Photography became a new type of art for me, since sticking with drawing and painitng became expensive. My experience in art helped make my photography unique and creative.

More about me; I am a well diversed artist, being talented in drawing and painting, music and photography. I love the ocean and spend most of my time at the beach, usually bodyboarding or surfing or out getting photos. I graduated from Mililani High School in 2011 and did attend one year of college at Leeward Community College to major in Fine Arts. I then enlisted in the Hawaii Army National Guard in 2012 and have been serving in the military fro over 9 years, with a deployment to Afghanistan in 2019-2020.

Quick Synopsis on my Photography:

I started out photography in November of 2011 and created an official page after buying my first camera. The name oh my photography was a nickname my friend always called me back when my friends formed a band in high school. I took pictures of the beach, sunrises at LCC, objects, traffic, almost anything and everything. Capturing the moment was my motto to make my photography unique. My style and creative mind often takes me out to risk my self or camera gear just to get the perfect picture but its all worh it.

Although I consider myself as a Surf Photographer, I do also have a diverse style and can shoot or take photos of almost anythings. I work with landscapes, portraits, club or events, automobiles, and even products. My experience of being in the scene since 2011, has allowed me to grow in my business and overall skill of being a photographer.

I thank all of my family, friends and fans for supporting me in my photography career, because without them, I wouldnt have any other motivation to continue on with a hobby that became my lifelong passion and goal. I'll always continue to keep on shooting photos till the day I die.
